Tea giant Tetley is offering two people the chance to travel the world, spending time in countries ranging from Kenya and Malawi to India, Tanzania and Uganda.

The catch? They must love tea.

Britain's largest tea company, which was established in 1837, is looking to take on just two brew-lovers for what they describe as 'arguably the best job in the country, but one that not many know exists'.

'The best job in the country': Job requirements list a love of a good cuppa, commercial awareness and curiosity

Thousands of applicants are expected to apply for the graduate trainee buyer position, who will get to taste up to 500 different brews a day.

Successful applicants are promised with globe-hopping to tea estates everywhere and training that will 'develop their palate and hone their tasting ability'.

'Tasting and blending tea, like blending whiskey or champagne, is a fine art, and it takes five years to train to be a Tetley tea taster,' a spokeswoman for Tetley's said.

The vast majority of Tetley's tea also comes from private producers in Sri Lanka, Indonesia, China, Vietnam, South Africa and Argentina.

Job requirements list a love of a good cuppa, as the lucky two will be expected to try hundreds each day while developing strong relationships with the company's suppliers.

The Monday-to-Friday job, which has a pay packet 'available on request', requires cultural and commercial awareness and curiosity, the company added.
