Thrill-seekers looking to fly through some of the UK's most impressive scenery can now take a ride down the new largest 'zip zone' in the world that has just opened in North Wales.

Zip World Titan, a new site by the team behind ZipWorld, has opened this month in the underground Llechwedd slate caverns of the historic mining town of Blaenau Ffestiniog.

With wires extending for more than 8km, the attraction has made North Wales the largest 'zip zone' in the world.

Visitors have the chance fly high over the moor, mountains and mine while riding down three different zip lines, reaching up to 60mph speed.

Those not brave enough to fly on their own can rejoice as Zip World Titan lines can carry up to four people side by side on adjacent wires.

Riders are taken along the uplift in a vehicle to the start of the first zip line, which is the longest of the three, and then have to take small walks to continue on to the second and third lines.

From the third zip line riders come into land over the Llechwedd slate cavern site, where visitors can also opt to take underground tours exploring North Wales' mining past.

The whole experience, which takes about two hours, costs £50 per person or £180 for a group of four riders.

Zip World's first site, Zip World Velocity, opened in March last year and contains two zip lines, located at Penrhyn Quarry, Bethesda.
