comments
The Boston Public Library has released a collection of 25,000 vintage postcards.
The library has uploaded its treasure trove of Tichnor Brothers cards (from the 1940s to the 1960s) to Flickr, providing a nostalgic trip through mid-century America.
The collection includes iconic American imagery such as The Cyclone roller coaster on New York's Coney Island, cowboys in Colorado and The White House.
As well as more obscure designs such as a 'Skyscraper Sandwich' and a raccoon playing basketball.
The full collection can be seen here.
