Air Canada's new 787 Dreamliner may boast a more comfortable journey and state-of-the-art carbon-fibre construction but not long ago it was just a bunch of parts awaited by an empty hanger.
Watch how the plane is brought together in this behind-the-scenes video released by makers Boeing, conveniently cut down to a three-minute timelapse presentation.
The people carrier has been configured to have 251 seats, including 20 business class and 21 in premier economy, all designed to be more comfortable for passengers. The Dreamliner is also said to be more fuel-efficient.

Air Canada are planning 37 Dreamliners which they say will form the cornerstone of their plans to expand globally.
When the Montreal-based carrier took its first Dreamliner from Seatttle on its maiden voyage last Sunday it was greeted by a salute from a water cannon on its arrival at Toronto Pearson International Airport.
This video shows the plane's construction at every stage as pre-fabricated parts are brought into Boeing's hanger for assembly to the final branding flourish.
