It's the ultimate frustration for holidaymakers - how do you fit more into your luggage without paying through the nose for extra baggage?

A stylish new women's jacket and men's bodywarmer could provide the answer, allowing passengers to carry more, freeing up space in carry-on holdalls.

Made by American clothing brand Scottevest, the clothing designs are tailored to incorporate enough space to fit gadgets, accessories and essentials inside.

Coming in a range of seven colours, including red, lime and paprika, the women's trench coat features 18 pockets, as well as double-breasted styling - priced at £90.

Inside, travellers can fit a digital camera, water bottle, two mobile phones, and iPad - and there's a Bluetooth compartment as well as sunglasses pocket.

As well as having an adjustable belt, and being waterproof, the coat is also machine washable - perfect for frequent flyers - and it even has a lip balm pouch.

The SeV QUEST men's vest, priced at £85, boasts 42 pockets, with space for an iPad, digital camera, sunglasses, and travel documents.

There's also a weight management system in the jackets to ensure they don't look bulky.

A spokesman for the company said: 'The Scottevest trench coats were designed to carry as much as the average carry-on bag in specially-engineered pockets that make travel easier in countless ways.
