Disco Ayala, in Trinidad, Cuba, is a must-visit venue, hosting thousands of partygoers every night – complete with cabaret acts, five dancefloors, and three separate bars.

The club, which can accommodate between 3,000 and 4,000 people, is open seven days a week with parties lasting until 3am.

At 1am the cave springs into life when acrobats, fire walkers, glass eaters and snake-handlers enter the club for a nightly performance.

 

It's a popular haunt with locals – with holidaymakers finding out about it by word of mouth.

Alain Sojourner, a teacher from Toronto, Canada, said: 'I was only intrigued about it and vowed to check it out when I met two backpackers.

'They were raving about it as though it was the best experience of their trip so I thought I should check it off.

'It was an awesome, cool experience. Everybody had a good time.'

The club, which also boasts a marble dancefloor, costs about £2 for entry.
