Benefits Street's White Dee going back to Magaluf to lead more drunken bar crawls

Her last visit stirred up controversy and even prompted Magaluf locals to complain that she was damaging their image, but it seems White Dee will be heading back out to Majorca just weeks after she was last there.

The Benefits Street favourite has signed up to 'headline' another raucous party at the island resort on June 27, despite prompting widespread criticism for her last trip.

The mother-of-two, who claims she cannot work because of depression, was pictured downing expensive bottles of champagne, cocktails and shots at the pool party and a bar crawl in Magaluf.

The reality TV star - whose real name is Deidre Kelly - also helped judge a wet T-shirt contest and frolicked with revellers as part of the trip, for which she was not paid.

He agent Barry Tomes claimed the trip helped Dee's fight against depression.

The benefits claimant was working with Carnage Magaluf, an events company which arranges evenings which glory in drinking to excess.

Its website claims to offer bar crawls with four hours of free shots and boat parties which it brands: 'The biggest party/p*** up on the med.' (sic) with unlimited free alcohol.

Organisers are also advertising that Dee's Benefits Street pal Fungi will join her for the latest celebration after he was unable to travel with her last month because he was said to be in rehab.

The news of White Dee's return will horrify the Magaluf tourist board which claimed that the headlines her last visit attracted were seriously harming the resort's attempts to go upmarket.

A spokeswoman for tourism authority Visit Calvia told the Birmingham Mail: 'The region is developing substantially and showcasing a holiday experience far removed from the typical holiday associated with Magaluf.

'During the past year the tourist board has worked hard to change the perception of the region and to promote its vast array of outdoor activities.'

Businesses and politicians in Magaluf claimed White Dee's antics were foiling attempts to break away from its reputation as a party resort.

In recent years a slew of new five-star hotels have opened in the party resort, attracting a more upmarket clientele.

Now opposition councillors on Calvia Council, which covers Magaluf, said her much-publicised visit last weekend had ruined efforts to upgrade the area.

Tourist chiefs had been keen to rid the resort of its booze-soaked label and develop the region as a base for cyclists and hikers.

Hotel chains had also invested heavily in the upmarket image.

A spokesman for the council's opposition PSOE group said: 'We want to try to bring families back to Magaluf and move away from this sort of thing.

'The visit of this person has not helped us at all.'
