Bangkok Airways' safety demonstration video channels low-budget music video

It's not exactly your average airline safety video.

In this cringe-worthy production from Bangkok Airways, viewers are treated to - or tortured by? - a safety demonstration video masquerading as a low-budget music video.

But it's the horrifyingly cheesy lyrics and lip-syncing that really make this clip worth watching.

The video opens on the runway with seven flight attendants - five female, two male - performing choreography over an auto-tuned track.

Some of the best lyrics? 'The moon will rise/The sun will set/I can take you anywhere/You're my blue sky.'

Other gems include: 'See the world through my eyes/All the wonders you will find' and 'The world below is beautiful/Oh come fly with me/Leave it all behind/Fly fly fly with me'.

While all of the dance steps are chuckle-inducing and entirely over-the-top, some of the funniest moments include saluting, posing with hands on their hips, and an over-exaggerated thumbs up.

The pilot's badly dubbed voiceover is another highlight, which occurs not once, but twice, during the course of the video.

The rest of the five minute video is dedicated to the real-life safety demonstrations that we've all seen before: how to buckle your seat belt, what to do in case of a drop in cabin pressure, and how to exit in the event of an emergency.

The in-flight video was first launched in March 2012. Bangkok Airways, known as Asia's boutique airline, is a regional carrier based out of Thailand, which currently flies to 23 destinations.
