The perfect holiday home is located beside a Spanish beach and has a hot tub and a cinema room.

When British travellers were asked what would make their dream holiday rental if money was no object, 95 per cent insisted it must have a Jacuzzi, while 93 per cent would like a home cinema.

More than half (64 per cent) said a seaside location would be ideal, while more than a third would prefer the house to be in Spain.

A real fireplace, king size beds and marble flooring are also a must, while an open plan kitchen and private gardens are also expected by British holidaymakers.

A fifth (19 per cent) said their ideal home was near the ski slopes, while five per cent would prefer a woodland glade.

Just four per cent wanted their perfect holiday rental to be in the countryside and three per cent opted for a city pad.

Another fifth (21 per cent) would locate their hideaway in France and Florida was the destination of choice for 17 per cent.

Just seven per cent wanted their ideal holiday home to be located in the UK.

Phil Schofield from Schofields.ltd.uk Holiday Home Insurance, which commissioned the research, said: 'This holiday home sounds  incredible - the sort of place in which A-List celebrities would stay! Brits certainly know how to live it up and plan a great holiday!

'Maybe the Average Joe's budget doesn't quite stretch to these luxuries, but it's definitely worth bearing in mind that smaller, simpler homes can be equally as lovely in their own right. Perhaps going without the super king size beds and cinema rooms might mean holidaymakers will get out more
anyway, instead of staying in to enjoy this deluxe temporary lifestyle!'
